Fire Danger Notice
This season has been unusually dry due to the mild winter. The fire danger is changing every day. We ask that our residents please call before burning in case the fire danger is to high. We also ask that you understand we don't say no for no reason. Our staff checks the state published fire danger as well as weather reports daily to determine if it is safe to burn.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Newport Fire-EMS is pleased to announce our NEW Ambulance 1 is now in service!
We would like to express our thanks to the Ladies of the NEWPORT SERVICE ORGANIZATION for their very generous donation that made the final purchase possible as well as a thank you to the voters of Newport for allowing us to make the purchase.
The new Ambulance 1 is a 2014 Chevrolet with a Road Rescue ambulance box. It has many new features including LED emergency warning lights and LED interior lighting in the patient compartment. This lighting allows us to see better while providing patient care. The patient compartment is also larger creating a more comfortable and work friendly environment. It has ample compartment space to accommodate our large array of emergency life saving equipment. This unit also came with a special foam undercoating that acts as a noise reducing insulator providing a quieter ride in the patient compartment.
Please feel free to stop by and check out this amazing piece of equipment.
